Formed in 1988 to bring consistency in the quality of officiating in Alberta. As a result of the association, clinics are now held annually, referees are being trained at a national level as clinicians, and Alberta referees are attending national championships. The association is responsible for minor and major lacrosse, and works closely with the Alberta Lacrosse Association and the Canadian Lacrosse Association to develop policy and education related to lacrosse.

 
 
 
  162 referees in 2000, managing a total of nearly 1900 games over the regular season, playoffs and tournaments.
