For 2008, CDLA will be using the SPORTOFFICE GAME ASSIGNMENT system and not the ASSIGN BY WEB system that the rest of the province is using.

All games in the Calgary area will be scheduled using this system. This includes games in Calgary, Okotoks, High River, Cochrane, and Crossfield. All age groups, including Jr will be assigned using this system.

Procedures

Game Sheets

When the scorekeeper gives you the sheet at the penalty box, check that it is completely filled in including the proper goal totals and the goal and penalty summary sections.
Sign the sheet, return it to the scorekeeper for distribution.
Ensure that you have a record of all the necessary information if a report is required.
Write all reports with your partner while the incident is still fresh in your mind.

Game Reports

Report needs the 4 W’s

- WHO
- WHAT
- WHERE
- WHEN

We need to inform others (who were not there) of the complete facts so they can take corrective action, so please provide enough details so that proper follow up can take place.

Once complete, fax copies of your game report to CLD at 777-4550 or you can email copies of your completed Game Report to:

Maurice Getz - CDLA RIC
CDLA Executive Director
CDLA Referee Assignor
Brad Dahrouge - ALRA RIC
