CDLA Overview

About Us

The Calgary District Lacrosse Association (CDLA) is a non-profit governing body responsible for the organization, administration, and development of minor box lacrosse in Calgary and the surrounding district.

For more than 30 years, the CDLA has supported the growth of the sport by coordinating league operations, establishing standards, and supporting its nine member clubs across the region, including the Cities of Airdrie, Calgary, and Okotoks, and the Towns of Cochrane, High River, and Strathmore, as well as surrounding areas.

Our Role

Guided by its Bylaws, the CDLA exists to:

  • Promote and develop minor box lacrosse within its district
  • Support leadership, education, training, communication, and development initiatives
  • Ensure consistent interpretation and administration of the rules of the game
  • Act as a liaison for member clubs on matters affecting minor box lacrosse at the district, provincial, and national levels
  • Foster good fellowship, sportsmanship, and respect within the lacrosse community
  • Promote equitable opportunities for all participants, regardless of sex, race, age, or ability
  • Raise and manage funds to support the objectives of the Association and its members
